A tool for making comics

Comic Engine

A consistent canvas

The format is deliberately simple: four panels, one fox, one AI and a table. In the engine I choose the fox’s pose and mood, write the dialogue, and position the text bubbles and their connectors. Reusable artwork keeps the characters and setting consistent while each joke finds its own rhythm.

Where AI comes in

The jokes, content and creative direction are mine. AI helps improve them by reading the whole comic as a viewer would: the wording, reading order, expressions and layout. It can then adjust the text, bubbles and connectors, or change a character’s mood. I review the changes and decide what stays.

AI can also invent and assemble a complete joke of its own. Usually not a very funny one :)

BEFORE

A rough draft
